This is an all-inclusive, fully comprehensive, and exhaustive syllabus for a Fashion Design course. It contains a wide range of topics from Design, Textile and Fashion that is from fibre to apparel, for the learning of this course.
The Topics have been planned in such a hands-on manner with equal thrust to theory, practical, carry home assignment, as also field trips, visits to industry related places, and interface with experts from the fashion academy as well as textile, apparel and accessory domains.
A portion of the syllabus revolve around the basics and foundation of fashion and grooming. Students are encouraged to develop their creative and aesthetic abilities, basics of pattern making and garment construction, along with drawing and sketching skills.
Another portion of the syllabus initiates the students in the process of designing by inducting them into pattern making and garment construction, draping, history of costume and textiles, personality development, wardrobe planning and personal shopping. By the end of the year through careful training by faculty the student would be guided towards the subject of their interest and expertise.
The syllabus also covers advanced levels in pattern making and garment construction, fashion draping, illustration and design, history of world costume, basic digital fashion, accessory designing, fashion photography, hair and makeup.
This would be followed by a short period of Internship for the Degree students.
The students will be assessed on the basis of marks given for internal tests, projects, journal and also the Annual examinations.
The syllabus has been meticulously designed in such a way as to offer a plethora of choices for the aspiring student. This design course offers a varied scope for career selection.

Fashion Stylist, Costume Designer / Co-ordinator for films, television or theatre, Fashion Controller or Boutique Manager, Fashion Illustrator, Quality Controller, Pattern Designer, Pattern Maker, Production Supervisor, Personal Shopper and Teacher for Fashion Education.
Fashion photographer, Fashion Writer/Journalist, Marketing Execute, Fashion publicist, Executive or Brand Manager, Display Artist / Visual Merchandiser, Fashion Forecast Consultant.
Textile Concept Designer, Textile Artist, Surface Design Artist, Textile Accessories Designer (like millinery [hats], bags, scarves, footwear) and Home Textiles.
At the end of the course, the student will be well prepared to begin a career as a fashion professional, and a marked improvement and confidence in the personality of the student due to grooming and learning skills, is assured.
